The Wiltshire County Golf Union represents the interests of 26 Wiltshire golf clubs, 11,000 members and is linked with the WILTSHIRE COUNTY GOLF PARTNERSHIP.

 One of our greatest  golfing talents, David Howell, came through the Wiltshire County development system winning the Boy's Championship and County Championship before going on to represent his Country in the Walker Cup and Ryder Cup. (You can read an interview with David Howell here.)

OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIERS: Congratulations to Sam Matton (Bowood) and Ben Stow (Rushmore) who have succeeded in reaching the final qualifying stages of the Open Championship.  Sam was joint runner up at Enville with a gross 70 and Ben, our Junior Captain this year, shot 69 at Ferndown to be equal 3rd. On to the Local Final Qualifiers on 6-7th July with a place in the Open Championship at Turnberry alongside the golfing greats at stake. Ben will be playing Glasgow Gailes and Sam will be in action at Western Gailes.  Good luck guys! County Championship  Matt Swales is the new Wiltshire County Champion, adding to the Colts Championship won on the first 36 holes. After a course record 61 at Chippenham on the Saturday, Matt added another course record, a 63 at Marlborough on the afternoon of the second day.
