Clubs should have received a proposal document from the EGU on the proposed merger of the national governing bodies, EGU and EWGA to create a single body, England Golf. The document can also be viewed on-line, here.
To facilitate clubs in coming to a decision on whether the organisations should merge we have arranged a briefing from a Board member of the EGU, Graham Yates from Somerset, who has kindly agreed to come along to a Q+A session at Cumberwell Park GC on 9th September at 4pm. Clubs are welcome to send as many representatives as they like to the meeting.
Following the briefing we are asking that clubs express their view on the merger proposal to WCGU by the end of October. A vote will then be taken by the voting members of EGU and EWGA in November and Wiltshire will vote in line with the wishes of the clubs.
