At the early season meeting of County Senior players at Erlestoke Golf Club on 20^th April, Michael Saunders (Tidworth), announced his intention to stand down from the Captaincy of the Channel League team after a period of 8 years at the helm.

The County is hugely indebted to Michael for his hard work in identifying players and building a squad with tremendous team spirit. He will be a tough act to follow but Jerry Gegg (Chippenham) has taken up the challenge and will assume the Captaincy for the first Channel League match on 24^th May.

Jerry will also take over from Henry Burt who has captained the South West Counties Championship side in recent years so that all of the Wiltshire teams will be led by a single Captain.

After the Erlestoke meeting the selection committee of Jerry, Michael, Henry and County Secretary, David Lewis, selected a squad who will represent the County in 2011. While the squad can be added to during the season if new talent emerges or due to exceptional form from those not selected, it is expected that the following 16 players will form the core of the Wiltshire side. The squad is listed in alphabetical order:
