Wiltshire Team Announced for South West Week

South West Week is the annual meeting of the 6 SW Counties. Played as round robin match play between Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Dorset and Wiltshire over 6 days the week also includes the 36 hole strokeplay championship which decides the SW representatives in the English County Finals.

Winners of the Strokeplay Championship in the last three years and runners up last year and winners in 2008 of the match play series, Wiltshire has a great record to defend.

Captain Kevin Phillips had already pencilled in much of his team based on playing performances in County matches and national events. The County Championship underlined his thinking as the top 11 players in the Championship (with the exception of Nick Mumford, unavailable due to caddying commitments on the European Tour) were members of his 12 man squad.

Congratulations to the whole team and a special mention for Scott Ward in being selected for his first South West Week.
