Many golfers in the County will know Frank Small from North Wilts GC and will be saddened to hear of his tragic death this morning following a car accident last week.

Frank spent his winter months with his family in South Africa but returned to play golf at North Wilts and for the Wiltshire Senior team in the summer. Frank was County Senior Champion in 2001 and he had recently competed in this year's Championship and was an individual entrant in the SWCGA Championship at Lanhydrock last week from which he was returning home when the accident happened.

Details are not yet clear but it seems Frank's car left the road on Thursday with no other vehicles involved, he sustained serious injuries from which he did not recover. His family were able to come over from South Africa to be with him and the whole County sends them our heartfelt condolences.
