From the Rotherham GC website...
A week that saw 3 holes in one at the 9th and a course record, ended with a final round of 70 for Ben Loughrey of Wrag Barn to win by 1 shot. The competition went down to a final hole decider as the possibilities of a playoff loomed. However the double bogey 6 carded by Loughrey at the 18th was just enough to claim the title over Andrew Sullivan. 36 hole leader and joint course record holder Justin Sloan finished a worthy 3rd having scored 71, 74 on the final day.
Keepmoat Chairman, Eugene Jaruga presented Ben Loughrey with The Keepmoat – Lee Westwood Trophy in the clubs historic Jack Hulley Lounge. The presentation was attended by many players as well as Rotherham Captain Ron Adams and Trish Westwood.
Congratulations Ben. After another fine season and selection for England sides as far apart as Finland and Peru this is the icing on the cake!
