Confirming the England selectors confidence in picking Ben to represent his country in the Peru Amateur in April, Ben Loughrey from Wrag Barn produced rounds of 68 and 70 to finish 2nd behind fellow England player, Tom Lewis in the Berkhamsted Trophy.
The event is one of the premier events on the amateur circuit and has been previously won by the likes of Luke Donald, Sandy Lyle and Gary Wolstenholme. Lewis's score of 133 was the lowest ever winning total in the event.
Good luck in Peru Ben!
