The Wiltshire County Golf Union was founded in 1924 and exists to represent male golfers in the county and to promote the game of golf.

The WCGU is the effective link with the English Golf Union which amongst its responsibilities includes the application of the Unified Handicapping System.

An Executive Committee runs the Unions affairs assisted by a part time County Secretary.
