At just over 7300 yards Bowood was always going to provide the toughest of challenges and for the majority of competitors this proved to be the case. With the course in pristine condition and with a stiffening breeze in the afternoon, quick greens and some tricky pin positions ensured scores under 80 were at a premium.
Jamie Jobbins and Robbie Busher with 79, Henry Pallas third on 77, Garry Slade second on 76 and Jordan Smith producing the only sub par round of the day, 71, to take round 4.
